How SplitRite works

Three steps. Zero confusion. Here's the full walkthrough.

1

Create a trip free

Open the app, tap "New Trip," give it a name. That's it. You've got a shared space where everyone can track what they spend.

To get people in, share the invite link. Text it, AirDrop it, paste it in your group chat. When someone taps the link, they're added to the trip. No account codes, no "please enter this 8-digit number" nonsense.

Participants don't need an account to get invited. They'll create one when they open the link, and the app handles the rest.

Works on iOS and Android. Your friends don't all need to be on the same platform.

2

Add expenses as you go free, unlimited

Someone picks up the dinner tab? Open SplitRite, tap who paid, enter the amount, pick how to split it. Takes about five seconds.

You can split equally, by exact amounts, or by percentage. Different expenses call for different splits, so you're not locked into one method for the whole trip.

The app works offline. Add expenses on a plane, in a cabin with no cell service, on a mountain in another country. Everything saves locally and syncs up when you get signal again. You'll never lose an expense because of bad wifi.

Anyone in the group can add expenses. The organizer doesn't have to be the designated expense-logger. If four people are at a coffee shop and only one of them created the trip, the other three can still add the bill themselves.

3

Settle the book free

When the trip wraps up, tap the Balances tab to see who owes what. That's it. No paywall, no unlock fee.

SplitRite runs a debt simplification algorithm on all the balances. Say five people owe money to each other in a tangled web of IOUs. Instead of ten separate Venmo requests, you might only need three transfers to square everyone up. The app figures out the minimum number of payments and shows each person exactly what they owe and to whom.

Every feature is free. No credit card. No trial period. No catch. Just use it.
